I still haven’t seen this.
Not a long one today, just a quick review of a fascinating little documentary done by everyone’s favorite television actor, William Shatner.
Released in 2011, I just got around to watching it since it’s available on Netflix streaming. It’s called The Captains and it’s a quiet examination of the experiences of each of the major Star Trek players from the last few decades of television. There are a few snippets of side interviews with supporting cast, but for the most part it’s a free–flowing conversation with several people edited together in such a way that you see both the similarities and differences of each of the actors. You can tell how much of each character is drawn from that specific actor; in that sense, it’s an accidental examination of the craft of acting.
